I am a little sad while writing this post this morning. This is my final reveal for Sketchabilities. I had a wonderful time creating for Karan beautiful sketches. Sketch #62 is my final sketch in 2012 for Sketchabilities.
For this sketch I used my daughters's first birthday pictures playing in her cake. I wanted a messy background to represent her messy occasion. This layout took on a different approach as I was creating. I had a nice time playing with the pink paislee package I had won from Swirlydoos long time ago.
If you are in need of an inspiration jump start for the new year, please stop by Sketchabilities and play along with the new Sketch.

Good Morning,

I used the November kit from Swirlydoos. Please take a moment to visit the Sketchabilities blog for all the inspiration achieved on this sketch.
I also like to welcome the new design team members for the Sketchabilities DT for Jan -Mar 2012.

"Sleeping Beauty" - DT Sketchabilities
Hi Everyone,
I am extremely excited to reveal Sketch #60 for Sketchabilities. This was another gorgeous sketch created by Karan. I was so inspired by this sketch that I couldnt wait to run home from work and do my blog post. My computer is giving me so many problems, I am doing things in spurts. So hopefully, it will go to the shop on Friday.
So, for my layout, I did a layout of my daughter. Yes... I am still in awe of her. I can not believe she will be turning 5yrs old. I havent done a layout yet of why I call her my "miracle" baby but she is truly a blessing from God. And.. girlie layouts are so much fun to create too.
So if you have anytime during this busy holiday month, please stop by Sketchabilities for alot of inspiration and fun challenges.
Have a good evening!

Cherish
Good evening,
This is a quick post from me tonight! I wanted to post a layout I was able to created during this busy Thanksgiving Holiday. I created this layout for the Swirlydoos December Round Robin Challenge. I had gorgeous layouts to lift from Lynnise, Tammy, and Jeannie. Since I have been admiring this new paint company from afar, I decided to enter this same layout in their challenge too. The paint company is Creative Inspirations and I am dying to order some of their paints.
This is a layout of my daughter at 3 weeks old. My daughter will be turning 5 yrs old next month. It seems like yesterday, I can remember clearly the first time I laid eyes on her. My baby is growing up.
See ya tomorrow for the reveal for Sketchabilities!

Catching up...
Today, I decided to post a few layouts I created a while back in October. I took a break in October and just created leisurely and didnt participate barely in any challenges. I felt restained from the kit clubs and only being able to use their products. Even though I just freely created, I did noticed that I did pick up many items from my kit club subscriptions. Honestly, I enjoyed freedom. So I decided to use some of the challenge blogs as well as my DT assignments as a way to create freely.
So here area few layouts I created during that time. They are posted in random order. One of the layouts I can not post since it is being published currently for SNR magazine.

"One Fall Day" - DT Sketchabilities
Sorry for the late posting, this is my first day back from celebrating my 7th wedding anniversary. I am extremely excited to reveal the new sketch for Sketchabilities.
This sketch is great for the use of multiple photos on one layout. I decided to make four photos into one 4x6 of my son. This layout is to remind us of our favorite past time.. playing outside.
I used glimmermist to alter the Dusty attic clogs. I also used papers and embellishments from my October Swirlydoos Kit.
Thank you for looking. Have a blessed day!

"Together"
Today has been a crazy day for me but I finished a layout today. It was created for 2 challenges for the Curves and Layers challenge I am hosting at Swirlydoos for the month of November and for the Bird is the Word challenge.
This layout was created in honor of my 7th Anniversary this month on Nov 12, 2011. I entitled it "Together" because I know we will be together always and forever.
Another short post for me.. I am little upset that I lost my current memory card. I had some special moments on there from Sept and October of my family and babies. And I had all my Sept and Oct layouts on there too. Since I was behind in uploading them on my blog, sb.com and a few other galleries, I was ready to post everything today. Then I realize.. no memory card.
So, I will be back to post my previous layouts and hopefully a new one too.

"She" - Sketchabilities DT
Good Morning...
I am excited to reveal my new DT layout for Sketchabilities Sketch #58. I truly enjoyed working with this sketch. I feel it pushed my creativity to another level. My layout was created with Glitz's Beautiful Dreamer papers, prima resins and the prima brick stamp. I also dugged my i-rock tool to create my bling flourish. The picture is of my daughter the first day of school.
I will be keeping this blog post short today. We have a busy day scheduled to celebrate Halloween with babies. This is our first time trick or treating at the Detroit Zoo for the Zoo Boo event. Since the temperatures are very low today and rain for tomorrow. I figured this should satisfy two excited toddlers (4 and 2 yrs old).
Have a blessed day!

Sketchabilities Reveal!!
Good Morning Everyone,
I am so excited to reveal my first layout for Sketchabilities today. This layout is gorgeous that Karan designed for Sketch #57. So please visit the Sketchabilities blog today to see the design team beautiful layouts inspired by this sketch.
I've always wanted to create a "Faces of You" layout of my daughter. As I was flipping through her first day of school pictures from last year, I noticed the different faces she gave in one photo session. Since this sketch required three photos, it was a perfect design for my "Faces of You" layout.
For this layout, I used one of the new prima masks and Heidi Swapp Viva Pink Glimmermist to create my background layer. I also used the Martha Stewart deep heart scroll punch to create the black patterned strip from the Prima Printery Paper.
I also used the new dusty attic leaves#3 and leaves #2 which was altered with olive vine glimmermist and crackle accents. The rest of the flowers were from the Sept Swirlydoos kit and previous kits.
Thank you for visiting my blog today. Please go to the Sketchabilities blog for more inspiration for our design team. And if you have the time, please play along with Sketch #57.

"Dreams"
On this nice fall evening, I am reflecting on how sweet my baby boy looked while sleeping. He was so adorable and peaceful during this time. I always wondered what they dream when they are this tiny. For my SwirlyHues layout, I created a layout of this precious moment. This is the first month for Swirlydoos SwirlyHues Challenge. You do not have to be a kit club member to participate. You just need to follow the all the requirements.
Here is my layout for the September Challenge:
Please follow Swirlydoos Blog. The next challenge will be posted on Oct 10, 2011

Sketchabilities #55 and Swirlydoos Kit
Good Evening Everyone,
I have two layouts to share today. My two layouts were created with Swirlydoos August Kit. My first layout entitled "8 months" is of my daughter from her 8 month photo session. Her current favorite color is purple so I decided to do a layout of her color choice. For this layout, I used sketch # 55 from Sketchabilities. I do not start my DT term until October but I couldnt help but play when u see the gorgeous sketches. I also played in the Resist Challenge at Swirlydoos and I created my own pattern paper with a script stamp, clear embossing powder and pomengranite glimmermist. I had so much fun creating the resist, I made extras.. LOL!
My second layout is of my son at 3 months. This layout was created for my turn with the Round Robin Challenge. I had to follow Sherri gorgeous layout.
Thanks for looking!

"Your Eyes"
I finally had time to post a layout I've completed a long time ago. It was orginally created with the color scheme for "Color Combos Galore #206 challenge and the Sketchabilities Challenge. I was unable to take pictures in time with all the family emergencies going on. I am still thankful the Sketchabilities Challenge was still open. This is my first time participating and I love the playful sketch. I used a mixture of Swirlydoos Kits with more product used from the Aug Kit. The color scheme was very new too me and I love how it turned out. Anytime I play with glimmermist I am extremely happy.
This layout is a photo of my daughter at 3 months old. I love how pretty and soft her eyes were as a baby. For this layout, I flipped the Sketchabilities Sketch.
Please excuse my blog too. Its underconstruction for a blog facelift. I am trying to dedicate more time into my blog and change the things I dislike. So please be patient with me.

Get Picky Sketch Challenge # 11 and Scraps of Darkness Round Robin
Good Evening,
I had to create a layout for the Round Robin Challenge at Scraps of Darkness and I decided to use the Get Picky Sketch for this challenge. I used the new August Kit "ENVY" from Scraps of Darkeness. It definitely pushed my creativity to use the color green. So I used a picture of my daughter and my DH from her 3rd Birthday party which she wore green Princess Tiana dress for her princess and the frog party.
For the ribbon detail, I thought the ribbon was too thick for me so I cut the ribbon in half to use as the string to the bird cage and to trim the bottom of the photos. I also wanted the new pink paislee resist labels to show under both sides of the photo so I cut the label in half too. I LOVE those new pink paislee resist labels.
Thanks for looking. Have a good night!

July Sketch Challenges Completed!!
Good Evening! I am not feeling well today so I am keeping everything short and sweet tonight. I am also in the progress of given this blog a face lift.
Last night, I entered this layout into the Scraps of Darkness July Sketch Challenge. It is a picture of my daughter at 3yrs old. The picture was edited by a close friend, Jennifer also known as Jrabs in the forums.
Last night, I entered this layout in the Swirlydoos July Sketch Challenge. It is another picture of my daughter at 18months outside the Henry Ford Estates.
Close up of the Dusty attic that I decorated with stickles, shimmerz paint that I cut into pieces:

Scraps of Darkness Round Robin and a Family Display Project
Good Morning,
I have an extremely busy Monday so I decided to post my Scraps of Darkness Round Robin week 4 layout early. I created my layout with the July Kit. I thought the paper in this kit was busy but very pretty colors. So for this layout, I had to scraplift Renea's beautiful layout for the last round of the challenge. I havent titled my layout yet but its a picture of my daughter at 3 months old right before she was headed for a stroll in the stroller on a nice spring day. My goal is to have my daughters first year and second year album completed. It feels like I have alot of work to do. I am happy at what I have accomplished so far.
So back to my layout,
A couple weeks ago, I was asked to create a decorative display for my Aunt's Family Reunion. The products listed in this display where bought from Michaels or I had in my stock already. I really like the vintage feel to the project and the personal poem she wrote for the family. I place the poem inside the Dusty attic skeleton clock. The members of the family are in random order since the family were required to guess which person was who.

Swirlydoos July Kit
Hey Everyone,
I was finally able to play with the July Kit this week from Swirlydoos! I created two layouts so far. One is for the July Budget Blooms challenge. For this layout, I used the Stuck on You Sketch and flowers from Dollar Tree. This was my first attempt at all this fussy cutting on a layout! So much work, LOL! But I love the way it turned out.
It is a picture of my daughter at 18 months old at the Henry Ford Estate waiting for professional pictures to be taken. It was extremely hot and she went from being silly to very irritated for this picture session. So i decided to take pictures while we were waiting.
For my 2nd Layout, I created this layout for the August Round Robin Challenge. This time I was to lead off the challenge. The theme of the challenge is HOT, HOT, HOT. So I used a picture of my daughter playing in the sprinklers last summer to cool off.
Thank you for looking! Goodnight!

Glitz Challenge Entry #2
Hey, I had a few moments and decided to enter the Glitz Challenge again. I love the Laced with Grace papers from Glitz and I cant wait until the new CHA papers ship. Hopefully, they will be in one of my Swirlydoos Kits! That will be sweet! Anyway, the layout is of me... and yes, I barely scrap myself. But its a picture of me 6 months pregnant with my baby girl. This layout is for her baby album. Thats why its title "You and Me".
By the way, all the products on the layout is from Swirlydoos May Kit and Swirlystore.
Thanks for looking!

"My Baby" and the Glitz Challenge
Whew... July flew right past me. OMG, I didnt even post not one time this month. I have been extremely busy! I went on two trips ( a camping trip and Chicago) and I had a blast. My next post will be the July month review. I have a few projects to show and maybe another layout!
Anyway, I started the birthday challenges at Dusty Attic and I dont know why I choose the Monochromatic assignment first. It was a little tricky for me to use only one color and a splash of a metallic. So I used the Hoopla Glitz papers for the challenge and Once Upon A Sketch sketch for this layout. Unfortunately, I forget about Australian time so I sat on this layout too long and should of posted it yesterday. But the Glitz Challenge is not over so I will at least enter it there.
The layout is of my daughter at one week old. I will also post the sketch I used for this layout too.
Thanks for looking. Have a great evening!

June Sketch Challenge #2
For my second post, I created a layout of my daughter at 21months old for the June Sketch Challenge at Scraps of Darkness Kit Club. For this sketch I used one of the new dusty attic baroque circle frame. I altered the frame by using lindy's magical micas and crackle accents. I used a technique done by Camilla Eckman for using the magical micas without water. I will show a tutorial next time when I remember to take pictures during the process.
June Sketch Challenges
Good Evening Everyone!
Well, I have accomplished both Sketch challenges for the two kit clubs I belong too. I am not sure if its etiquette to put both layouts in the same blog post but I will make two quick posts tonight
For Swirlydoos Kit Club, I created a layout of my son at 3 months old. This photo reminds me of how distinctive his features were at his age. He had multiple outfits at this photo session and each one he looked completely different. So I titled this one "lil man" because he looks so much like a grown baby in this picture.

Happy Fathers Day Layout!!
For Fathers Day, I gave my husband a surprise dinner with all our 6 children. Lately, it seem hard to have them all in one setting with their busy schedules, sports and etc. But, with his older daughter's vision and 2 weeks of planning, we were able to pull it off. All the kids asked for no one but us and it was such an emotional and loving day! For this day, I prepare a layout to sit at his cake table and I combined the idea with a Superhero Challenge at Swirlydoos Kit Club.
For this Swirlydoos Challenge:
I chose Superman as my hero and a picture of my husband. I used the colors of superman for this layout. I used it in the words in my journaling and in my title. I decorated some of the cogs with ranger blue colorwash spray and the rest with Claudine Hellmuth acrylic paint. The S & pocketwatch was colored with red distress stain. I filled the empty space of the pocketwatch with bisque liquid pearls.
The journaling states: Our children look up to you as the Super hero in their life. Family relies on you as the only dependable man in the family. I watch how every day, anytime of hour; how you jump to rescue or help anyone who calls. So in my eyes, I see you as Superman always there in the nick of time.
Also, I found out within the past week, that my layout of my son for Scraps of darkness was chosen for Layout of the Month for May. And TODAY, I found out my layout of my daughter at Scraps of Darkness won the May Sketch Challenge.
Lately, life has been hectic with everything going wrong.. but yesterday and today made it all worth the struggles. Have a blessed day

Scraps of Darkness May Kit
Happy Memorial Day!
I decided to join Scraps of Darkness this month with the assurance that I will have a kit for June. I was excited when Melinda emailed me saying she had a current kit available. This month kit has an Asian flair. So far I was only able to finish two layoits with the kit. I finish the May Sketch and a layout for my son. This kit papers were bright and busy. I struggled for a minute with the kit due to the business of the papers.
The May Sketch layout is a picture of my daughter at 3 months old. I didnt have a fan in my kit so I created one with the bamboo sticks that were in the kit. The flower vines were from my stash at home.
**** This Layout won MAY SKETCH CHALLENGE at Scraps of Darkness ****
The other layout is a picture of my son when he was 3 months old. With this layout I forced myself not to use flowers. I love flowers and I grab for them alot. My son has those girly eyes and hair so I really do not want to use alot of flowers. But I know its coming soon for me to create a boy layout with a few flowers. The crane from this kit was painted with leftover white paint in the brush and little mermaid
A closeup of the crane.
Thanks for looking and Have a wonderful holiday!

"Rachel"
Good Evening!
Whew! Finally, I was able to finish this layout tonight. This layout contains a picture of my grandmother. Pictures of her are very rare since she hated taking photos and any she found she threw away. Thank God for digital pictures, so we can always reprint the photos.
In this layout, I followed the "Stuck on U Sketches" sketch for this week. Since I used my Swirlydoos May Kit, I am able to submit this for the glitz challenge too. Our May kit contains the laced with grace collection from Glitz. The Glitz challenge was to include the technique of clustering.
Thank you for visiting my blog and Good night!

Swirlydoo's Challenges for May
Good Evening Everyone!
I am excited to post two layouts Ive created this month for Challenges at Swirlydoos. I am excited because I am keeping my goal of scrapping something every week for my babies, sister, and family scrapbooks. I hope by the end of the year each child will have one album completed. My only problem is that I like to jump between 4 years based off the mood I get from the kits and papers.
For the Round Robin challenge, I was second string this time for the Team Swirlynators. I had to scraplift Erica's gorgeous layout and use mist. This layout is a picture of my 14yr old sister and my daughter. My daughter loves to follow her around. This layout also includes dusty attic chicken wire,
For the May Sketch Challenge, I used pictures of my daughter on Easter Sunday 2010. We had a beautiful day that Easter and majority of her pictures came out very nice. It went well with Swirlydoos May Kit. For the dusty attic birdcage, I used magical micas powder with glossy accents. I followed a tutorial by Camilla (DT at Swirlydoos) and I love this technique. I need to take a photo tutorial so you could see how this technique work. But in the meantime, the technique is under the April Kit on the Swirlydoos layout.
Thanks for looking.

Mothers Day and National Scrapbook Day!
Well... My Mothers Day is over and I had a wonderful weekend! On Saturday, I participated at the Swirlydoos Forum and Ustream for a half day of activities. My hubby and my babies gave me a wonderful day on Mothers Day! I was able to have family time with Church and dinner. And quality time with the babies and my hubby separately. Also, they both gave me time to scrap too.
So, I was able to finish the Inspiration Challenge for NSD at Swirlydoos. This layout is of my daughter and her best cousin on Easter Sunday 2010. For this layout, I used different supplies from Swirlydoos Kits, store and spotlight kit. This layout is 100% of Swirlydoos Products. I used the following inspiration picture for my layout.
For the small details, I created this flower based on Lisa G's flower tutorial on NSD and used moonshadow mists for the first time. I am truly loving them too. The flower is actually gold but it looks brown on this picture. I used glossomer gold moonshadow mist.
I also used clearsnap glue gloss to attach each tiny bead to the Dusty Attic dress form.
The next layout is of my baby sister who was 13 yrs old at the time of her "Girls Going Godly" Catillion Event last spring 2010. I used the following "Once upon a sketch" Sketch as my inspiration for this layout.
I painted the two Dusty attic chipboards with clearsnap smooch frosted aqua and a pink color.
Thanks for looking! Have a great Monday!
