Good evening!
This is truly my first time using my mobile phone to do a blog post. I had no choice... My Internet is down! I completed the December sketch at Once Upon a Sketch a week ago and never uploaded. So I hopes this work...
For layout is entitled "Miracle baby". The month of December is important to me mainly due to the birth of my daughter on December 12, 2006. She is the reason why I love to celebrate December.
I was told by the age of 27 due to all my female medical problems since the age of 18 that I would not be able to conceive. I conceived my daughter after the age of 27 but her pregnancy was very difficult. I went into labor at 20 weeks but thank God I didn't deliver. God said its not time. With the bed rest, weekly injections and a few delivery issues.. I was blessed with a little miracle 6 years ago. And then blessed with her brother 2 years later.
On this layout, my journaling is tucked in on the side. A little note to tell my daughter : "My greatest joy is celebrating your birth every December. This December marks 6 years God blessed me with you... My miracle baby."

Girlie Grunge Challenge - October
Whew... I am barely making this challenge on time for October. Donna Salazar's Challenge involved a sketch and using the color green. For my layout, I used the Swirlydoos Sept Kit that included Prima's Romance Novel paper line. I am in love with this paper.
So for the challenge, I played with some new products I have bought. I used pink gelatos and Donna Salazar's Jasmine Mixed Media Ink. The jasmine ink was used to soften and frost all my flowers and leaves. For the green part of the challenge, I added green dusty attic botanical swirls with a little jasmine ink added to it. I also smeared a little jasmine ink to the black pattern paper. Lastly, I added a little green ink (bundle sage distress ink) to my journal strips.

Thanks for looking.

Happy Halloween
Wow.... This is truly my first project I have created for Halloween. I made this configration box last month for my design team assignment for Scrappy Chic. The papers used were from my Aug-Sept kit which included Halloween papers from K& Company and Echo Park.
Have a safe and wonderful holiday!

"Untitled"
Hmmm.... lately I have been so distracted with life that I didnt feel inspired and felt my creativity went on a vacation. As I filtered through people blog posts, I found an October sketch at Cest Magnifique Kit Club that caught my attention. Since I had an October kit sitting here from 2 places my Scrappy Chic and Swirlydoos I figure why not at least attempt something creative. I decided to enter this piece into the challenge at Cest Magnifique Kit Club and the Heidi Kelley challenge at Swirlydoos. It felt good to have some free time Sunday to scrap freely. I honestly didnt care if it was my best work or not. I just wanted to enjoy creating art.
I will not make this a long post. So, thanks for looking!!

Returning back to the blogging world...
Whew.... its been a long time since I created a blog post. Sorry for being missing in action, I just had too much personal things going on that I decided only to keep up with my requirements for my current DT assignment. So I am very happy to say that I am currently on the design team for my local scrapbook store, Scrappy Chic. It has been so much fun creating and participating in the store activities since February of this year. I have created some personal layouts too during this break but I will only post a few in todays post. I rather just start fresh with my blog posts instead of catching up. I also will be adding the link to Scrappy Chic's store and gallery if you are interested in my monthly projects over there.
Right now, I am currently working on my August kit for Scrappy Chic. I just received my new kit from Swirlydoos Kit Club. (Plus, I have quite a few previous kits untouched.. but I'm ready to play with them all). I am ready to start participating again in online challenges now.
My first layout is entitle "Unbreakable", the journaling is hidden. This was an emotional layout that dealt with a personal situation in my life. It was also created for the Flying Unicorn American Idol Challege. I had made it all the way until the final round.
My second layout is of my daughter. This is from July Round Robin Challenge. I was very surprised to find that it was the winner among all the amazing layouts.
Be back soon...

Paradise
I am slowly recooperating from having bronchitis, laryngitis, and inner ear infection that caused my imbalance and dizziness. I still managed to finish a layout I created for the following challenges: Flying Unicorn American Idol, Swirlydoos Seed packet, and Once Upon a Sketch 2/15 Sketch Challenge. I knew I only had energy to create a little at a time so I made sure something for each challenge was represent into this layout.
Here is my layout of a scenery from our favorite past trip.. a trip to Cancun. For the American Idol challenge, we were required to have things in quantity of 2, 3, 4. I had added 2 ribbons, 3 dusty attic chipboard shells, and 4 butterflies. I used the OUAS 2/15 sketch for inspiration and journaling. I also included a photo transfer of one of the seed packets for the challenge at Swirlydoos.
I was very interested in the journaling requirement for OUAS. I have been lacking in the journalling part of my layouts and I am trying to put more of my own words and handwriting so my children and family would know why that particular photo or event meant to me. For OUAS, we had to journal about a vacation/holiday. I feel my husband and I are in need of a vacation. Having young babies put a halt to our traveling and I am always wishing we could take one tomorrow.
Our dream vacation is going to Hawaii.. but at this moment I truly feel the words I placed on the layout. My journaling reads:
You and I on a
white sandy beach and ocean view
is my next dream vacation. But as long as
I'm with you. I am in complete
paradise.
Thank you for taking time to review my blog. I greatly appreciate and love all the comments you leave.

"You Own My Heart" - Mojo Blog Hop
Well, I am excited to participate in Kisha Walton's Mojo Blog Hop today. This is my first time ever and I have received alot of inspiration from her blog this past 2 weeks. So, if you have arrived from my blog from her posting today, you are at the right place.
Due to health reasons, I was only able to finish a layout in time for this blog hop. Kisha had choosen love as the theme and a gorgeous inspiration photo. I did keep the love theme but I used the TCR color palette and my January Swirlydoos kit for my inspiration.

My January Swirlydoos kits consist of Bo Bunny Snowfall papers which are very beautiful and glittery. I tried to tone the glitter down by adding cream background with chicken masking using Tim holtz antique linen distress ink.
I also added some denim leaves and altered the shape using multi medium which acts as a stiffner which I learned from Lynne Forsythe tutorial at Swirlydoos Forum. I altered the dusty attic hinge using vintage photo distress stain, luminarte radiant rain solar gold, and glossy accents.
I would like to thank everyone for taking the opportunity to stop by my blog today. Please make sure to return to Kisha Walton's blog tomorrow for the last day of the blog hop.
