Happy Black Friday and Unity FFF!

Good Morning Everyone,

Today is the first Black Friday I did not participate in since I was a little girl. I cant really say that I am missing it. It feels good to finally sleep in after hosting thanksgiving dinner at your home. Its seemed like a very long week preparing for thanksgiving dinner. Now, its time to concentrate on Christmas. So today, I am posting a Christmas gift decorated by my daughter and I.  Also a  mini card for one of my daughter's teachers at head start. I used a stamp from Unity Stamp Company Bright and Merry Winter Christmas Stamp Set. So if you have time between the fellowship with family, christmas shopping and all the holiday eating, please visit every blogs today at Unity Stamp Company.

Have a good weekend and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Unity Friends with Flair and My Anniversary

Good Morning Everyone,

Six years ago on November 12, 2010, I married my best friend. It has been some trying years but I wouldn't change anything that we have been through as a couple. We have truly grown closer from each experience and I know we made it through six years with the grace of God. I am very excited to this morning and I know this is just the beginning of many years to come. I am bless to say that I am still in love with my husband.

I usually do not make many masculine cards and I decided to make a card today for our anniversary instead of buying one. This gave me the opportunity to express the words I felt in my heart. I didn't want to add many feminine products so I created my own background with Key Lime Pie and Caribbean Blue Glimmermists. I used a Unity Stamp Company stamp for the background. I attached a poem on the front with a few pieces of teal green bling. Its simple but I truly like this card because its personal to me.

Card Ingredients:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Stamp: Unity Stamp Co "Gratitude =Joy"
Glimmermist: Tattered Angels Key Lime Pie" and Caribbean Blue
Ink: Walnut Stain Distress Ink
Misc: Bling

Please enjoy this Unity with Flair Day by visiting Unity Stamp Company's blog and see all the other  customers beautiful creations that is displayed today.

Have a good day and thanks for looking.

P.S. I gave blog candy 2 weeks ago. Can Erica please email me your address and if not received in a few days, I will pull another name for the kit? My email address is lsadesignstudio1212@gmail.com. Thank you.

Please Go Vote Today and Winner Chosen (UPDATED Blog Post)

Good Evening,

I asking everyone to please vote today especially if you live in Michigan. Today, Michigan will receive a new Governor and I think it will make or break our current economic crisis  in our state. By the way, I was the #120 person who voted this morning at my precinct and my husband was #119.

On to the winner, I am stuck in doors with a bad head cold and a sick 21 month old. So I decided to do the random generator to pull the winner for the blog candy. I greatly appreciated all the comments, advice, and those who followed my blog. Anyway, Since there were 11 people who commented, I just numbered in order of the comments. The winner is.....

*** I'm sorry this is my first time using this thing. I double checked on the website too. The max was set at 11. Everytime I copy the table, it still reports 100 at the maximum. I hope this do not create any issues.

Acrylic, Paint and Unity FFF Day!

Good Morning,

I wasnt sure if I would be able to post this today. I thank God for allowing my internet connection to finally be available. We had wind storms the past couple days which affected our utilities and cable service.

Well, I am on a buying freeze and need to use all the product I have stored in my scrapbook room. I have never took the opportunity to play with acrylic or with using paint to stamp. This is my first try with it. So please provide any advice with the type of material or techniques that works well with acrylic layout. I placed the white paper behind it so you could see the Unity puzzle piece stamps I used and the rubon.

I decided to offer blog candy too. I am only requesting you to comment or advice and become a follower of my blog. I will pull a winner on Monday. The blog candy will be one of the few kits I have available from a class I taught and a My Heart Sings Unity Stamp too. The picture of the kit is on the right panel of my blog.

Thank you for looking.

Another Unity with Flair Post

Good Morning...

Sorry for a late posting. It slipped my mind with all the running I had to do this morning. A couple weeks ago I applied to the tattered angels design team. Here are two layouts of the five layouts I submitted that had unity stamps on them. I was required to use 80% Tattered Angels products but I only used Unity Stamps. Everything on these layouts are Tattered Angels except for the paper, canvas, petaloo flowers (layout 1) and stamps. I used many glimmer mist, glimmer glam, glimmer glaze, all the chipboard and glimmer glass.

Layout 1 Ingredients:
Stamps: Unity Stamp Company Worn Music

Layout 2:
Stamps: Unity KOM 09 and Confession Kit

Unity Stamp Company World Card Day Challenges Cont

Happy Friday Everyone! Well, I'm still attempting the 23 Challenges for Unity Stamp Company. They are my favorite stamp company so the opportunity of winning a year of kit of the months is worth it. Unfortunately, I still have plenty to finish by Saturday so its a long, fun creating day for my 3 year old daughter and I. The few things I learned while working on these challenges are

1) I love creating cards with meaning behind them. I was easier to create one when I know someone was going to receive it.
2) I prefer creating invitations over cards. But my favorite is layouts and altered items.
3) I have a lot of stamps never inked before so it gave me an opportunity to use them.
4) I realized I have alot of scrapbooking supplies especially paper I bought for my babies scrapbook. So its time for me to finish those layouts. That makes me feel so much better about my buying freeze.
3) I have my next ideas ready for some layouts and can not wait to work on them. Lol!

Anyway, my Unity with Flair posting is one of the cards I just finish for one of the 23 Challenges. It has not been posted yet to my splitcoaststampers gallery yet. So i figure it was okay to present it today. This card was for Challenge #1 - paper piercing

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Unity Stamp Company KOM 09
Cardstock & Pattern Paper: DCWV
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black
Misc: Copic Markers, Glossy Accents, Embossing folder

Unity Friends with Flair and World Card Day Challenges

Good Morning....

I decided to play along with all 23 Unity Stamp Company World Card Making Day Challenges. Who wouldnt want the chance to win free kit of the month from Unity all year long? I know I do. So I created a plan for me to accomplish each challenge by October 16, 2010.

So for today's Unity Friends with Flair post, I decided I would show one of the cards I made for Challenge #17- No pattern paper. For my card, I embossed the cardstock with my cuttlebug and sprayed olive vine and viva pink glimmermist in the background. I used a stamp from Nov 2009 KOM for the words "go ahead wish". Also for this challenge, I was able to play with my new i-rock tool with the mirror glam rocks. I know this is going to become a favorite tool of mines.

Stamp: Unity Stamp Company Nov 09 KOM
Embossing folder: Swirls (cricut)
